Michael Hill

Pastor, Skaneateles Presbyterian

Michael Hill is the pastor at the First Presbyterian Church in Skaneateles. Born in Springfield, Missouri, Michael has been Presbyterian his entire life, attending Hillcrest Presbyterian Church in Springfield, until he left the area for seminary. As a youth and young adult he served the church at many different levels. In 1998, he was a YAAD to GA in Charlotte North Carolina and ordained as a ruling elder in 1999.

Michael received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Construction Technology from Ozark Technical Community College in 2004. For years he worked for his father’s construction company as an estimator. In 2011, he decided to pursue his call to ministry and moved to Dubuque, Iowa. He graduated from the University of Dubuque in 2011, with a degree in Religious Studies. In 2015 he received his MDIV from the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary.

United Presbyterian Church in North Bend, Nebraska called Michael to be their pastor in May of 2015. In July of 2015 he was ordained as a teaching elder in Homestead Presbytery. After a six year ministry in Nebraska, Michael was called to serve the First Presbyterian Church of Skaneateles.

Michael is married to Kristi Hill. Kristi will be recovering her master’s degree for teaching in 2023. Michal and Kristi have five children: Emma, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Isaac, and Violet. Their children attend the public school in Skaneateles.
